COLBY CHEESES

| One of our best sellers! First produced in Colby, WI in 1874. This cheese has a mild flavor similar to cheddar. Firm open texture with tiny holes makes this a great cheese for slicing for sandwiches, snacks or shredding into cooked dishes. Also combined with Monterey Jack to make cojack. The cheese is formed into long round tubes giving it its name, longhorns. These are about 6 inches in diameter and 12 inches long. We also have a smaller version called a delihorn. This is only 4 inches in diameter. These flavored cheeses had a zesty flavor to any salad or baked dish. The cheeses are also pressed into a 3 1/2 inch square form to produce a block cheese. These are priced by the pound but may be purchased in any size. |
